Blaise Bryant on the NYS Budget & Disability Advocacy

Blaise Bryant is a disability rights advocate who worked on the front lines to fight for expanded funding in the New York state budget for fair pay for home care. He spoke with his regular Hudson Mohawk Magazine co-host Brea Barthel about his deep concerns with the very limited increase in pay rates for home care aides included in the budget, explaining the difficulties this made for the aides, and those who need their help. Blaise points out that New York State is the state with the worst shortage in home care aides, due in part to the low wages.
