Uptown Summer: Radio Production

Every week, Uptown Summer youth participate in radio production workshops with radio mentors Jody Cowan and Sina Basila Hickey.

The youth have had the opportunity to learn about the general nature of interviewing and being interviewed. They have been introduced to utilized technologies and participated in exercises for finding their own voices. The youth have also looked at the messaging of mainstream radio programs and considered how to counteract that through our community independent radio efforts.
