Uptown Summer: Plant-Based Watercolor Workshop

The youth of Uptown Summer participated in a two-day workshop hosted by bio-artist Ellie Irons. The youth harvested plants from the Collard City Growers urban garden. Then, they went to the newly-renovated Nature Lab building, where they learned how to transform the plants into watercolor pigments. The youth had the opportunity to use their pigments to create art, swipe through to see their plant-based masterpieces!
