September is National Suicide Prevention Month

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. September 5-11 is the National Suicide Prevention Week. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Capital Region Director Sandra Goldmeer speaks with HMM’s Aileen Javier about the multiple events that the AFSP is offering this month plus other programs through out the year. Sandra emphasizes that we must normalize conversations about our mental health and that together we can help Stop Suicide.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is hosting a day-long livestream event on Friday, September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day. The event will feature artists, advocates, AFSP experts and live music to honor people impacted by suicide.
