Reclaiming History: Dr. Solange Ashby- The Importance Of Philae – part 3

In Part 3 of this episode Dr. Ashby discusses the strategic importance of the Temple Philae and the eight generations of Lower Nubian family of priest who work for the Kings of Meroitic Empire (Kush) perform religions rights, and administrater the 12 mile region around the border of Egypt and Nubia known a Dodecaschoenos (“12 mile land” region that goes 120km to south into/ Lower Nubia).
