Preservation for Community Benefit

The Sanctuary for Independent Media is housed in an old church that was once vacant. With funding support from individuals, organizations, and grants such as the NYSCA-funded Technical Assistance Grant, the Sanctuary has been able to preserve this building that serves the greater community as an organizational, media arts, and social change hub. Katy Peace, Director of Communications at the Preservation League of NYS, came to visit our building.
