The violence continues this week in Jerusalem and occupied Palestine. While the conflict often seems intractable, there are realistic steps toward peace that could happen. The Us government could play a role in encouraging peace, but currently it provides billions of dollars in military aid to Israel with no requirement to respect even the bare minimum human rights of the Palestinians.
