Leon Grannies For Peace Mothers Day

Grannies for Peace in the Capital District are participating in An Appeal to All Women to Unite for Peace on Sat. May 1 at 1 PM. We interview Mabel Leon. It starts with a short video of diverse women reading the first Mother’s Day Proclamation, issued by Julia Ward Howe in 1870. Individual grannies will then speak to some of the current issues in the world of 2021 – including the nuclear dilemma, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, climate survival, police violence, and Grannies’ love.
