Kenyatta Emmanuel Music “First Free Note”

Singer Songwriter and Musician Kenyatta Emmanuel talks about his music as storytelling and his journeys from Prison to Carnegie Hall and with all the influences along the way bringing soul to the Met. His musical message explore the beauty of life, love, and the human condition, He is now an Artist in Residence at the Initiative for a Just Society at Columbia University. He speaks here with HMM’s Andrea Cunliffe

Kenyatta Emmanuel is appearing at Collar City Mushrooms, in conjunction with Bliss Arts, on October 16th along with poet Jose Perez celebrating the opening of John Zoccoli’s Art Exhibition.
