HMM 2 – 1-2020

Hello Capital Region! This is the Hudson Mohawk Magazine, broadcasting on WOOC-LP 105.3 FM Troy and WOOS-LP 98.9 FM Schenectady, from the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY.

Tonight, we begin by talking with Laurie Shanks of the Albany Policing Reform and Reinvention Collaborative about their process and what Troy should know in starting the process so late.

Then, we hear from Luke Grandis about a recent workshop held by the Capital Region Harm Reduction Roundtable on microdosing

And later on, we hear from president of Albany’s United Union Professionals chapter, Aaron Major, about how this pandemic has resulted in teachers getting fired at higher rates.

After that, we have our second part of our two-part interview with Jerry Ford, founder of the nonprofit organization named Team H.E.R.O. who headlines our recent Martin Luther King Day event at the Sanctuary for Independent Media.

Finally, we continue our conversation on the effects of trauma with Wrestling Ghosts director Ana Joanes.

And now some headlines…
