HMM 12 – 28 – 21 Holiday Special on Election Review

Today, on the Hudson Mohawk Magazine we bring you a holiday special with reflections of this past election cycle in Rensselaer County. We’ll hear today from a three individuals who each have a unique take on this past November’s general election:

We begin with outgoing city council person and newly-elected Rensselaer County legislator Ken Zalewski who reflects on his own tenure on Troy’s City Council, his plans for how to serve as a minority lawmakers on the county legislature, and his take on the losses area Democrats faced at the polls;

Then, we hear from David Banks of the Troy Democratic Socialists of America who has a different take on how progressives fared in the election;

And we finish today’s show with Alex Flood, a newcomer to the political arena and first-time candidate for political office who lost his bid for Rensselaer County Legislature. In this interview, Flood reflects on the big questions facing Democrats in the next election.
