Greenidge Cryptocurrency Mining Press Conference, Nov 19

On the last day for public comments to DEC, opponents of the Greenidge cryptomining currency power project in the Seneca Area held a press conference turned in over 5,000 comments urging the state to deny the Title V Air permit for the plant, largely due to its large climate impact and air emissions. We hear from Liz Moran of Earth Justice, Assembly member Pat Fahey, Conor Bambrick of Environmental Advocates, Rus Haven of NYPIRG, and Eric Weltman of Food and Water Watch. By Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Radio Network.
