Excerpts from the Protest Against Voter Suppression in Troy

At 1:00 Friday the 11th of June, a rally opposing voter suppression was taking place outside the Rensselaer County Board of Elections offices. HMM Correspondent Andrea Cunliffe was there recording speeches and comments by concerned residents. Excerpts here are from: Deacon Jerry Ford, Tasheca Medina, Gwen Wright, D. Colin Charlestin, Steven Figueroa, Peter Grimm, Nora McDowell, Melissa Bromley, Emily Menn and Phil Markham. Early voting has started in Troy.

While the protest was happening, the Board of Elections announced their own offices as a fourth early voting site.
