HMM 12 – 3-2020

Hello Capital Region! This is the Hudson Mohawk Magazine on WOOC-LP 105.3 FM Troy, WOOS-LP 98.9 FM Schenectady, broadcasting from the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY.

Tonight, the Water Justice Fellows interview the Kingston YMCA Farm Crew, about their work and what water justice means to them.

Then, on this week’s Triple E’s, host H Bosh Jr. continues his conversation with Judge Harriet Thompson, surrogate court judge in Brooklyn, NY, about the election, self-empowerment, and the civil judicial system.

After that, we’re joined by artist and death doula Marne Lucas, who works with terminally ill creative people. Marne will be a panelist at the Sanctuary’s online event this Friday, “Death and Dying in the Age of COVID”

Then, Jada Robinson is a two-time Silver Glove boxing Champion, US National Junior Olympic Champion, and an Elite National Silver Glove Champion, and also a resident of the Capital Region. She’s joins HMM to discuss the significance of boxing to the Black community of our region.

Finally, we’re joined by social worker and trauma therapist, Carizma Whitaker, who is also a panelist for Friday’s event, “Death and Dying in the Age of COVID.”
