Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent Dave Publow recently sat down with David Carpenter, director of the Institute of Health and the Environment at SUNY Albany, to talk about how the DEC is handling testing for PFAS, dioxins, furans, heavy metals and other contaminants in the community around Norlite. The Cuomo Administration’s delays in testing blood samples in a timely manner may serve to cover up detecting actual contamination, but will not halt its effects.
