Father Meconi on St. Augustine A Boy In The Hood 2 – 21 – 2019 Part 1

For Black history month Lovonia Mallory has another Reclaiming History segment when she interviews Father Meconi about St Augustine a Boy In the Hood.
Fr. David Vincent Meconi, S.J., D.Phil. (Oxon.) is Associate Professor of Historical Theology as well as the Director of the Catholic Studies Centre at Saint Louis University; he is also the editor of Homiletic and Pastoral Review. He holds the pontifical license in Patrology from the University of Innsbruck in Austria, as well as his doctorate in Ecclesiastical History from the University of Oxford. Fr. Meconi has published numerous books and articles on the early Church, and on Saint Augustine of Hippo in particular; his most recent works include the Sermons of Peter Chrysologus (Routledge), the The Cambridge Companion to Augustine’s City of God (Cambridge University Press) and Augustine On Self-Harm, Narcissism, Atonement and the Vulnerable Christ (Bloomsbury Press). Fr. Meconi is a past Fellow of the Augustinian Institute at Villanova University, and serves on the ecclesiastical board of Boston College.
