Kcassandra Interview Homeless Series

WOOC correspondent Cat Jones sat down with Kcassandra, a local artist, regarding her experiences with homelessness. Cat is doing a series of interviews with people who are currently homeless, or have experienced homelessness in order to combat common stereotypes about people who are homeless. Kcassandra has a fresh perspective on what it’s like to live on the streets: even though it was hard, she sees her time there as an experience of liberation and growth, because she went there to escape an abusive relationship. She learned to find resilience and strength, and discovered that she is capable of taking care of herself.
