ESSYI: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Youth Education in Environmental Studies

HMM producer Anna Steltenkamp speaks with Dr. Jim MaKinster, Director of the Environmental Studies Summer Youth Institute (ESSYI) at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York. ESSYI is a two-week, college-level interdisciplinary summer program that introduces high-school students to environmental issues and interdisciplinary techniques for addressing environmental problems.
