HMM 03 – 04 – 24

Today, on the Hudson Mohawk Magazine,
First, we hear about a grant that Albany’s Radix Ecological Sustainability Center received recently that will support their work on “river regeneration.”

Then, Elizabeth “EP” Press reports on a March 3rd gathering in Troy to remember Nex Benedict, a 16-year-old non-binary student who died after an incident at their high school on February 7th.

Later on, retired meteorologist Hugh Johnson joins us for our weekly look at weather and climate, this time focusing on wildfires and wild weather.

After that, Willie Terry talks with Dr. Tempii B. Champion, the author of “Understanding Storytelling Among African American Children: A Journey From Africa to America.”

Finally, Marsha Lazarus talks with Aliya Saeed about her being part of Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, the meaning of Ramadan and her hope for the people of Gaza.
