HMM 3 – 16 – 18

Today we have Rensselaer County Historian, Kathy Sheehan, here with us to discuss the Historical Society’s campaign to purchase a priceless portrait from Troy’s past. Then, we’ll hear an interview with Rutgers University students Mariah Pierce and Anthony Tullio. They traveled with their Rutgers mentor Adam Staats and artist Jonna McKone to study biographic zine-making with photographer Brenda Ann Kenneally at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. Afterwards, we’ll hear from Denise Figareroa of the Independent Living Center in Troy about disabilities rights activism. And later on we’ll hear from some Local theater students at The Sage Colleges who are putting together a Cabaret style show.
