Throughout our campus, The Sanctuary for Independent Media will have various ways to engage with our organization and our various initiatives. We invite neighbors, students, visitors, and anyone curious about what we do to drop by and engage with our staff, volunteers, and programming.

1pm-4pm: NATURE Lab open house, 1st floor

12pm-3pm: Sanctuary Radio open house with Hudson Mohawk Magazine & Jazz Sanctuary
Healing Day at People’s Health Sanctuary is a way to connect with community members, healers, providers and anyone invested in building a robust network for communal health across the Capital District. See full schedule here.
Sanctuary Radio invites you to ask questions, record a station ID, and meet the people behind the voices. Hudson Mohawk Magazine (HMM) and Jazz Sanctuary‘s Susan Brink will be available for questions.
From 1-2 pm there will be playful activity stations to engage with producers through tasks that mimic the experience of being a HMM producer.
Collard City Growers will offer tours, flowers, medicinal plants and herbs, self-guided veggie and fruit harvesting. What’s In season are apples, pears, collard greens, kale, peppers, and more!
NATURE Lab invites you to tour the lab, see art & science displays, and observe Be5 STEM kids’ activities with Dr. Emilly Obuya, microplastics viewing with Dr. Sarah Cadieux, and more!
We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media.
