Garlic Planting Party

October 11, 2021 @ 3:00 pm 6:00 pm EDT

Collard City Growers will be hosting a Garlic Planting Party to honor Indigenous People’s Day and prepare for next year’s growing season. The garlic planted is generously donated by Dara Silbermann of 2nd Street Farm and from our own Branda Miller’s Garden.

We will also be fundraising for Collard City Growers by selling some jellies and jams made from various fruits of the garden. We sincerely appreciate any small monitory donation to help us purchase necessary items to keep the garden healthy and productive in coming years.

Pick up for your own:

  • Homemade grape jellies
  • Dried herbs
  • Potted plants
  • Fresh veggies from the garden

Stop in for planting, stay to enjoy the fruits of our fall labor. This in person event will take place at the Collar City Grower Garden at 3337 6th Ave in North Troy 12181

An action shot featuring a group of people working on the garlic garden, learning about the process and getting their hands dirty.

We are committed to lowering the barriers to access for events at The Sanctuary for Independent Media. For people who are hard of hearing or deaf, blind or low-vision, or whose physical limitations can interfere with a satisfying experience, let us know two weeks in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
