Humane Association on Horse Deaths in Saratoga

On Tuesday June 16, 17 horses were killed in a fire at a racetrack barn in Saratoga. The New York State Humane Association is outraged that the racing industry still does not require all stables to be equipped with sprinkler systems, especially after 30 horses were killed by fire in 2023 at Tioga Downs.
