Zilpa Oduor

Staff

Zilpa Oduor (she/her) is the Sanctuary’s Development and Communications Director. She is passionate about human rights and comes to the Sanctuary with experience as a project manager for a public sector consulting firm doing international development work and the management of grants working in refugee resettlement. She is on the Board of Directors at Refugee & Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus (RISSE), and active member of the American Fundraising Professionals Hudson-Mohawk Chapter (AFP-HM). She has performed with local community theater groups and had a radio show in college called “Boomba Train.” Zilpa holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations-Economics and Africana Studies from Wellesley College. 

When not involved with the above mentioned justice work, Zilpa loves to dance, swim, hike, listen to music, play djembe, visit with friends, and cheer on her favorite soccer team, Manchester United! Hear Zilpa introduce herself to Hudson Mohawk Magazine listeners.
