Community Radio Days are monthly in-person radio meetings, open to the public. These events are opportunities for folks to peek behind the news curtain and join our weekly Hudson Mohawk Magazine (HMM) 7:07pm production meeting where we fill in the calendar for the week and discuss potential news stories. After the calendar has been filled in, the meeting changes into a community conversation which might be a skillshare, a conversation around a listening or reading prompt, a facilitated conversation around a topic, or a mini workshop.
Join us for Community Radio Day if you are considering getting involved as an HMM producer/ co-host/ engineer, if you are interested in learning more about HMM and civic journalism, if you want to connect with our team for a story, or if you just want to participate in the community conversation. See scheduled conversations below. You can also email [email protected] with any questions.
HMM Community Radio Days take place on the first Monday of each month (unless it’s a holiday), and we serve some light food and beverages. *This event takes place in our basement in the colder months. If stairs are an accessibility barrier, please be in touch so we can prepare our accessible level.
