NYPIRG on Hochul’s Push for Redistricting

President Trump’s call for Texas to gerrymander its Congressional district lines to help the GOP has prompted other states to take similar action. While Governor Hochul is pushing to change the state constitution to allow for new district lines, it could not take effect until 2028, with good government groups opposing it.
