This Is What Retaliation Looks Like

There are so many people facing evictions, and the housing crisis is intensifying daily due to the lack of affordable housing. Angela Kaufman, a resident of Lakeview Mobile Home Park, has been organizing to save her home and the home of the other residents living at the Lakeview Mobile Home Park. Last year she was arrested trying to save trees from getting cut at the mobile park. Angela’s court case is still ongoing. Now she has been served with a notice of violation of park rules and given 10 days to “cure” the items listed or face eviction proceedings. Angela feels that she is being retaliated against due to her advocacy. She speaks to HMM’s Aileen Javier about what she faces and the legality of it.
