Local Poet Seeks Troy City Council District 1 Seat

D. Colin Charlestin, a local poet and activist, is making her first bid for public office to represent District 1 on Troy’s City Council. HMM correspondent Corinne Carey spoke with D. about what’s important to her, what motivated her to seek public office, and how she plans to represent the district, which includes the northernmost part of Troy and the neighborhood of Lansingburgh.
