What To Do If You Are Stopped By Police

WOOC Labor Talk host and roaming correspondent, Willie Terry, attended The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists Region 1 Conference: “47 Years Strong, Saving Our Heritage” this week, where he recorded a speech given by Civil Rights Attorney, Zilka A. Saunders, on “What to do if you are stopped by the police, police relations in our communities and how to address it.”  Ms. Saunders is a civil rights attorney, former municipal judge in Newark, New Jersey, adjunct professor at Essex County College (in New Jersey), and has done pro bono legal work in urban communities. She now resides in the capital region as a Senior Attorney for the NY Worker Compensation Board.
