Housing Lobby Day 2.28.20 [10.05]

UpState Housing host, Michele Maserjian, was at the State Capital for Lobby Day, reporting on two pieces of pending housing legislation, the Good Cause Eviction bill and the Small Home Anti-Speculation Act. The goal of both of these pieces of legislation is to reduce homelessness from unnecessary evictions and increase housing stability due to a lack of affordable housing. We hear from Amber Johnson, a housing advocate from Binghamton, NY; New York State legislators Julia Salazar and Pamela Hunter, and Alexa Sloan, a housing organizer.
