UAlbany XCTF Alumn Speaks About Running in Midst of COVID

“I feel like I didn’t get the closure you would typically get with a senior season or your last season. I’m definitely grateful that I was able to run during the cross country and indoor track seasons.”

In this segment, you will listen to HMM Correspondent Olivia Leonard speak with Maddy Brogan about the cancellation of the 2020 spring track and field season. Maddy Brogan is a 2020 UAlbany graduate, studying Public Health and a minor in Chemistry. During her time at UAlbany she participated on the cross country and track teams. Due to the injuries she faced, Maddy was never able to compete in an outdoor track season and because of COVID-19 she was never given the opportunity to do so. You will hear about Maddy’s experience during the global pandemic thus far, as well as her experience on the team and the emotions faced upon losing her final racing season.
