Troy Peace Walk for Black Lives

On June 14th, Jun San of the Grafton Peace Pagoda and Troy community members got together for a 12 Miles peace walk, drumming, and chanting in the Nipponzan Miyohoji Buddhist tradition. The peace walkers stopped at various sites in Troy including the Troy Police Department and the Rensselaer County Jail. Jun San Yasuda is an elder Japanese Buddhist Nun from the Nipponzan Myohoji order and keeper of the Grafton Peace Pagoda, she has dedicated her life to justice for indigenous people and peaceful walks to end war. This peace walk was in response to the recent acts of violence exacted upon Black Lives, by the oppressive racist structures of our government institutions and law enforcement.
