The Hill Country Observer is a long-running bi-monthly newspaper serving the rural areas of eastern New York, southwestern Vermont, and northwestern Massachusetts. The cover of the February-March issue features a story about small peer-respite houses, where people in crisis can stay as an alternative to hospitalization. WOOC correspondent Steve Pierce spoke with the author, Tracy Frisch.
