3-8-19 Deborah LaFond, Barbara Sutton, and Shelby Mack on International Women’s Day

The Spirit of the Suffragettes summer concert series and community resource fair will be launching alongside the seventh annual Freedom Festival on Saturday June 8th from 3-6pm, and then will be held in Freedom Square every Tuesday at 4-7pm from July 16th through August 20th, closing with the ninth annual StoryHarvest celebration September 21st. Hudson Mohawk Magazine corespondent Cassidy McCabe speaks with Deborah LaFond (the University at Albany’s Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies program bibliographer), Barbara Sutton (professor in the Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies program), and Shelby Mack (Professor Sutton’s Teaching Assistant in her course Global Perspectives of Women), as well as providing her own thoughts around social justice, activism, and feminism.
