April 9-2020 COVID 19 Updates per APNews:
According to Albany Medical Center COVID 19 updates as of April 8, 2020 they hospital has had 67 COVID cases among staff with 2/3 of those people acquired COVID in the community. (See www.amc.edu/patient/services/infectious_disease/coronavirus.cfm Accessed 4-9-2020).
As of 4-8-2020-FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, announced today the delivery of its first shipments as a part of Project Airbridge, a public-private partnership managed by the federal government.
The New York State Department of Labor has already started sending out $600 pandemic unemployment payments, impressive timing for a federally funded program that was signed into law less than two weeks ago. The bad news, unfortunately, is that New Yorkers are still encountering massive difficulties actually signing up for unemployment. Many online applicants are still required to call the labor department.
