DeAnna LeTray, a Waterford transgender woman, is suing the police and sheriff’s office for allegedly mocking her gender identity, using excessive force, and sexually assaulting her during a strip search at the Jefferson County jail. Today we air an interview with one of her lawyers, JP Perry from the New York Civil Liberties Union, to discuss LeTray’s lawsuit. This piece starts with Hudson Mohawk Magazine producer Elizabeth Press.
