Naomi Jaffe: Justice for Dahmeek

Jarrod Iler, the cop who shot unarmed Troy resident Dahmeek Mcdonald in the head and arm, was not indicted this week when a Grand Jury convened to hear from local prosecutors. Many in the racial justice and police reform movements perceive this as part of a pattern of police officers receiving preferential treatment after extra-judicial shooting of people of color. Others have argued that the officer was within his rights when he shot Mr. Mcdonald through the windshield of a car. We’re joined now by Naomi Jaffe of Justice for Dahmeek.
