Mike Ewall BioHiTech

A proposed solid waste facility called BioHiTech would remove paper and plastic from municipal waste and shred it. The shredded material would then be sent to an unidentified cement plant. The project is proposed in the City of Rensselaer on the former BASF site, now a hazardous waste landfill. We speak with Mike Ewall of Energy Justice Network. To submit public comment on the environmental justice portion of this project, email Kate Kornak at [email protected]. For more info on Energy Justice Network, go to energyjustice.net
