Prof. Kathy High on Lateral Learning Environments

HMM correspondent Mikaela Clark-Gardner spoke with RPI Professor of Video and New Media, Kathy High on the pedagogical approaches she uses to engage her students, and encourage active participation. High discusses the importance of play, creating lateral, non-hierarchical learning environments, and building meaningful relationships even beyond teacher and students, including other living beings (animal, bacterial, etc.) that may be part of the learning and research experience.
