Over 16,000 kids are separated from their parents and currently in New York’s foster care system — and its not because of the federal government’s family separation program at the border. This number is significantly down from previous years, and our next segment examines what some advocacy groups are doing to reduce the number even more. My co-host and WOOC correspondent Corinne Carey sat down with Kari Sadiqqui in this segment of a series we’re featuring on the Hudson Mohawk Magazine about the work of the capital-region’s Schuyler Center.
