John Ameroso On Urban Agriculture

The annual Northeast Organic Farming Association took over the Saratoga Civic Center last weekend, attracting food activists from around the region. Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent Steve Pierce sat down with a pioneer of the community gardens and urban agriculture movement for a quick history lesson. John Ameroso worked as Cornell University Cooperative Extension Urban Agricultural Extension agent from 1976-2010, working on community gardens programs and then later urban agriculture.
