Jim Horwood On Supreme Court Cable Access Decision

The U.S. Supreme Court recently issued a decision that threatens to undermine First Amendment protections on the public access channels required on cable television systems in NY State. The ruling was the result of a lawsuit filed by community media pioneer Dee Dee Halleck and Nuyorican poet Jesus Papoleto Melendez against the management of Manhattan Neighborhood Network, which manages the cable access television channels in New York City. Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent Steve Pierce spoke to public interest telecommunications attorney Jim Horwood about the case.
