Jennifer Wilson on Upcoming Elections

On Thursday, New York voters will head to the polls in the nation’s last primary election of the season. Voters might be used to voting on traditionally-held Tuesday elections, but this year, the legislature moved the primaries to Thursday to accommodate the tail end of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, as well as the 17th anniversary of September 11th. Jennifer Wilson, legislative director of the New York State League of Women Voters, talked to Hudson Mohawk Magazine correspondent, Corinne Carey, about the challenge of getting voters to the polls and the important contests that will be decided on Thursday.
