“Get Your Knee Off Our Neck” protest in Schenectady

On Monday, July 6th, Schenectady Police Officer Pommer used a knee hold on a community member’s neck and that community member sustained bruises and scraps from the altercation. On Monday evening protesters gathered outside the Schenectady Police Department to support that community member, Yugeshwar Gaindarpersaud. In video recorded by his father, Jaindra Gaindarpersaud you can see Officer Pommer kneeling on his neck. In this segment Hudson mohawk Magazine producer Elizabeth Press spoke to Yugeshwar Gaindarpersaud and his father about what happened to them. We also hear from activist Jamaica Miles from All Of Us Community Action Group.
