Forum Examines Systemic Racism in Medicine

The New York Metro Chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program held a virtual forum in January on systemic racism in medicine titled “Unequal Treatment: The Unjust Death of Dr. Susan Moore.” Dr. Susan Moore, a 52-year old Black physician, died on December 20, 2020 in Indiana after recording a video for social media from her hospital bed about receiving racist treatment at the hands of healthcare providers. This is part two in a two-part series about this event and the work to combat medical racism, and features excerpts and highlights from the event. The entire webinar event can be viewed on the website of Physicians for a National Health Program-NY Metro Chapter here: www.pnhpnymetro.org/past_forums
