If you check out the butcher case at your local grocery store, you’ll probably notice a lot of claims like ‘all-natural’ or ‘free range’ on the label… But did you know that those phrases(and many others) are not verified or inspected for truth? The American Grassfed Association has been inspecting & certifying farmers to some of the highest standards in the industry for over 15 years. In today’s Farming Segment, WOOC correspondent Mark Russo spoke with Carrie Balkcom, Executive Director of the AGA about what those standards are & what they mean for farmers, their livestock & for consumers shopping for dinner.
