CBTU attorney Zilka A. Saunders

WOOC Labor Talk Host and Roaming Correspondent Willie Terry attended the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists Region 1 Conference called “47 Years Strong, Saving Our Heritage” at the Albany Hilton Hotel from August 16-19, 2018, where he recorded a speech given by Civil Rights Attorney Zilka A Saunders titled “What to do if you are stopped by the police, police relations in our communities and how to address it.”

Miss Saunders has been active as a civil right attorney, was a former municipal judge in Newark, New Jersey, an adjunct professor at Essex County College in Jersey and did pro bono legal work in the urban communities. She now resides in the NY Capital Region as a Senior Attorney for the NY Worker Compensation Board. This is part four of his special report on the speech given by Attorney Zilka A. Saunders.
