Thea MacFawn on the Capital Region Institute for Human Rights

Each summer, teachers from area high schools host high school students at a human rights institute in which the youth learn the basics of activist organizing and work with mentors from around the world to create projects to address social inequity. The founder of the Capital Region Institute for Human Rights, Thea MacFawn, sat down with WOOC correspondent Meghan Marohn to discuss her faith in young people, the history of the institute, and the way history factors into how people organize in 2019.
