Troy Bike Rescue

Troy Bike Rescue is a collective of cycling enthusiasts committed to removing bikes from the waste stream and getting them back on the streets. TBR opperates a volunteer-run community bike space where they organize DiY bike repair, hands on bicycle education, sliding scale bicycle adoption, and mobile workshops. They are part of an international movement of “community bike projects,” which uses bikes to help create community. TBR helps build bicycle community in the capital region through hands-on education. They accept donations of any bikes, parts, or tools. They are supported entirely by donations of the time and money from individual patrons. The Troy Bike Rescue has been involved with the Sanctuary for Independent Media through many of its workshops and events. The organization includes anyone in the community that is willing to partcipate in this amazing movement.
