Cornell Cooperative Extension

Cornell Cooperative Extension puts knowledge to work in pursuit of economic vitality, ecological sustainability and social well-being. The organization brings local experience and research based solutions together, helping New York State families and communities thrive in our rapidly changing world. The Sanctuary for Independent Media has collaborated with Felisha Chandler, the nutrition program educator for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County, to work throughout Uptown Summer 2013 “Food Science and Safety Tuesdays.” This taught the community how to shop, prepare, and store food for families on a budget!
